Biodiesel Facility
Drain Bros Excavating Ltd.
Using processor technology supplied from Methes Energies (Canada) Ltd., Drain Bros Excavating Ltd., Rosebush Wilson and Associates Inc., designed and constructed their Biodiesel Facility. The Facility is an extension of the Corn Oil Extraction Process installed a few years previous. This biodiesel facility uses corn oil extracted as a by-product from the adjacent ethanol facility (Kawartha Ethanol Inc.) to produce fuel-grade biodiesel. The project included a building expansion, the installation of several process and storage tanks, and the integration of the processing skid-mounted equipment.

DDGS Dryer Project
Kawartha Ethanol Inc.
Rosebush Wilson and Associates Inc., in collaboration with JDM Designworks Inc., provided planning, construction drawings, and construction management services for the integration of a DDGS Dryer into Kawartha Ethanol's current processing system. The DDGS Dryer and some associated equipment was purchased used was installed in a similar configuration whence it originated. The installation of the Dryer equipment to dry Wet Distillers Grains and Solubles (WDGS) to Dried Distillers Grains and Solubles (DDGS) also included the transpiration, cooling, and storage of the material and treatment of exhausted moisture with the use of an RTO (regenerative thermal oxidizer).

Syrup Concentrator

Kawartha Ethanol Ltd.
Rosebush Wilson and Associates Inc., in collaboration with JDM Designworks Inc., provided construction drawings and project management services to Kawartha Ethanol for the installation and commissioning of their Syrup Concentrator process add-on. Kawartha Ethanol purchased the Syrup Concentrator process technology from auction of a closed ethanol facility in Nebraska, US. Working with the original technology provider and Kawartha Ethanol, Rosebush Wilson was successful in integrating the process into their system constraints.
